PADI Advanced Open Water Course

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is a great way to build upon the skills that you have learnt so far and learn new skills and techniques whilst under the supervision of a professional dive instructor.

The course is available onboard Emperors Wings, our 3-night Great Barrier Reef liveaboard. You will take the plunge in 5 adventure dives that are designed to develop your skills and techniques whilst exploring, discovering and having fun. Two of those adventure dives are compulsory leaving the other 3 for you to choose from. The selection of dives for you to choose from will enable you to tailor the scuba diving course to explore and discover areas of SCUBA diving that are of most interest to you.

Compulsory Dives:

Navigation dive: Be the diver everyone wants to follow. Learn navigation using a compass and effortlessly negotiate the underwater environment using natural navigation skills and techniques so you never get lost.

Deep dive:

Explore the mysteries and allure of the deeper depths. Learn how your body reacts to pressure at greater depths when diving deeper, acquire skills and techniques needed to explore the deeper depth range of 18 to 30 meters and discover what equipment considerations must be made. After certification you will be certified to dive to 30m.

Your Choice:

You will be able to choose 3 adventure dives to learn and take part in. You can choose from Night Dive, Drift Dive, AWARE Fish identification, Underwater Naturalist, Multi Level and Computer diving and Enriched Air.

Each Adventure Dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. We offer a PADI Advanced Open Water and PADI Enriched Air dive package so not only can you certify as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver you can also certify as a PADI Enriched Air Diver. Course Inclusions:

• PADI Course materials including Manual, enriched air dive planning tables and slates
• Dive gear hire including dive computer hire.
• 5 scuba dives
• PADI certification fees.

Requirements:

If you’re aged 15+ and have already completed the PADI Open Water Course (or equivalent), in general good health and fitness, and are not suffering from a cold or ear infection, you should be eligible to become a certified PADI Advanced Open Water diver.

PADI e-Learning

PADI e-Learning is a great way to start your course prior to your trip allowing you more free time onboard.

By signing up to PADI e-learning you will have the advantage of completing your knowledge reviews and individual study at your own pace before your trip, allowing you to free up more time to relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery of the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef.
