PADI Enriched Air is the most popular PADI specialty course and it’s not hard to realise why!

Diving with enriched air (Nitrox) enables you to have longer no decompression bottom times especially on repetitive dives. It also shortens your surface interval times. Allowing, you, the diving enthusiast a longer bottom time exploring the underwater world and less time waiting on the surface till you can go back in for your next dive.

Enriched air (Nitrox) is a breathing gas with a higher percentage of oxygen. Air is made up of 21% Oxygen while Nitrox can be mixed as high as 40%. By breathing more oxygen you are reducing nitrogen loading giving a longer bottom time at depth compared to air dives.

The PADI Enriched Air specialty teaches you:

• Enriched air scuba diving equipment considerations.
• Enriched air considerations, including managing oxygen exposure, how to tell what’s in your scuba tank and how to set your dive computer.

• PADI Course materials including Manual, enriched air dive planning tables and slates.
• Dive gear hire including dive computer hire.
• 2 Enriched air scuba dives.
• PADI certification fees.

Requirements:

If you’re aged 15+ and have already completed the PADI Open Water Course (or equivalent), in general good health and fitness, and are not suffering from a cold or ear infection, you should be eligible to become a PADI Enriched Air Specialty Diver.
