PADI Open Water Course

The PADI Open Water Course is the most popular learn to dive course in the world. After completion of this course you will be a certified diver allowing you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters and starting you on a journey to discover the underwater world and expand your knowledge, experience and dive training.

The PADI Open Water Course is performance based course and split into three components.

• Knowledge Development: This gives you the theory and teaches you the basic principles of SCUBA diving so you feel confident and happy in the waters.
• Confined Water Dives & Training: In a swimming pool environment you will take the first step to feel weightlessness underwater. Here you will be taught basic scuba skills and start to get acquainted with SCUBA diving and the equipment.
• Open Water Dives & Training: This is your chance to review your skills and explore the under water world of the Great Barrier Reef.

Upon completion of the above you will be a qualified PADI Open Water Diver and are able to enjoy the underwater world at great depths and are ready to enrol on a Wings Diving Adventures Sail and Dive Tour.

Due to time constraints Wings Diving Adventures is unable to offer PADI Open Water Courses on board its vessels. However we offer a combination package of Learn, Dive and Sail. Enrolling guests into the 2 day PADI Open Water Course with our affiliated PADI dive centre in Airlie Beach. Prior to travelling with us you will be taught the fundementals of diving and become certified, you then choose your Wings tour jumping straight onto your first dive holiday!
